Review of the development of China's power generation equipment industry in 2020 and the future

        In 2020, China's power generation equipment industry will actively implement the decision and deployment of the Party Central Committee, closely focus on "six stabilities" and "six guarantees", and the production and operation will recover rapidly. From January to March, the output of power generation equipment decreased by 12.9% year-on-year, and from January to June increased by 18.9%. Since the third quarter, with the continuous improvement of the stability of the industrial chain supply chain and the rapid development of the new energy industry, the output of power generation equipment from January to September increased by 30.4% year-on-year, and from January to December increased by 36.5% year-on-year. The power generation equipment industry actively complies with the development trend of clean, efficient, low-carbon, intelligent and international, which provides strong support for the high-quality development of the power industry.
        Industrial scale: the output of power generation equipment has achieved positive growth for the first time in nearly four years, reaching a new high in the 13th five year plan, among which new energy and renewable energy have developed rapidly.

        According to the statistics of the power generation equipment center of the machinery industry, in 2020, the production of power generation equipment (excluding photovoltaic power generation) in China will reach 114.8892 million kilowatts (based on generators), with a year-on-year growth of 36.5%. Among them, the hydropower units were 17.0657 million KW, with a year-on-year increase of 62.5%; the thermal power units were 50.2729 million KW, with a year-on-year increase of 0.6%; the wind power units were 45.8506 million KW, with a year-on-year increase of 137.1%; the nuclear power units were 1.7 million KW, with a year-on-year decrease of 61.2%.
       During the 13th Five Year Plan period, the proportion of clean energy power generation equipment output in China increased steadily. The proportion of thermal power equipment production in power generation equipment decreased from 73.2% in 2016 to 43.8% in 2020; the proportion of hydropower equipment production increased from 7.6% in 2016 to 14.8% in 2020; the proportion of wind power equipment production increased from 16.3% in 2016 to 39.9% in 2020; the proportion of nuclear power equipment production fluctuated from 1.5% to 5.2%.
